Agriculture in City Countryside

The conception of “Agriculture in City Countryside” was advanced by
some American scientists in both 1950s and 1960s. The meaning of
“Agriculture in City Countryside” in English is farming in the
city. It provides leisure tour, experience farming and place for
study agriculture for people, using rural sight, natural ecosystem
and environmental resource in city. In other words, “Agriculture in
City Countryside” is the combination of production, living and
ecosystem.
The characteristic of “Agriculture in City Countryside”:
① Different from the common rural agriculture, the area of it
covers the city and some place around the city.
　
② The production, circulation and consumption mustn’t contravene the rule of the city. This characteristic shows the necessary of agriculture in city.
　
③ Agriculture in City Countryside is not only the exploitation of function of economy, but also of the ecosystem, society and so on.

It shows highly intensive mode of administration, materializes the
combination of production, process and sale, so it can properly
serve the city.

Leisure Agriculture

It is an comprehensive area of leisure farm. Tourists not only can pick fruits, experience farming etc., but also can make holiday!
The most interesting thing is the participation of the tourist. It can intrigue their interest of protection of nature, working and even life!
The conception of leisure agriculture is increase the experience of people, promoting the income of farmer, using equipments and area in countryside and other facilities.

Plant Factory

Plant factory is a factory where cultivate plants in every months of a year with the technology of environmental control and automatic equipment, including cultivating without earth etc.

Agriculture technological district

It is an intensive demonstration of modern agriculture technological
district.
It uses modern technology, combines the advantages of factors as
society and government.

Industrial farming

The conception of “Industrial farming” was advanced by China Society Association in 1994, when launched the “industrial high effect agriculture” project.

Space plant production

American Aeronautical Center successfully produced the food for space using non-earth technology. The purpose of it is to help people to sustain long-term life in space.
The record is: Wheat 10000 per square meter.
Maize mature when 40- 50cm high
Tomato tree can plant 100-120 per square meter.

American biosphere Ⅱ

Earth where people live is been called biosphereⅠ. There will be an special building in Arizona, which imitate the ocean, rain forest, desert and torrid grassland on earth. People use the facilities in it to provide food, whose production is about 16 times higher than earth. Biosphere Ⅲ and biosphere Ⅳ will be built in Antarctic and arctic. Biosphere Ⅴ will be built on moon by 2020.
